Oliver is sleeping 3_4 hours during the day and 5_7 hours at night. He is starting to look at things and be more observant. He loves to look at Maggie and will smile at her.

Tribal council
While watching survivor with mommy, Maggie decided to cast her vote for who should leave the island...and she chose the same as the tribe

High honor roll
Maggie made the dean's list for the second quarter in a row... this time on the high honor list!! We're so proud of how hard she is working in kindergarten!

First trip to the zoo
Oliver had a great tour guide to show him the zoo... Maggie took him to the lions, snakes, bears and of course, Bert the hippo. Maggie loved sharing her zoo with him, Oliver slept the entire time.

Rough day, great night
After two weeks of great sleeping, about four hour stretches at night, and very little crying, Oliver had a rough day because of some diaper rash. We switched wipes... which seems to have been the cause. But little guy would scream every time he went to the bathroom, which not only ended the no crying streak but also meant he spent most of the day awake. He finally fell asleep at 10 pm and woke up at 4 am to eat...6 hours later!!! Not only did he sleep for so long but his rash was much better when he woke up. Maggie was also not feeling well and slept for about 13 hours!!
Presidents day
After running some errands, we spent nap time in bed with Maggie snuggling ... Oliver wouldn't go to sleep because he was watching her :-)
Bath time
Mom is pretty proud of the fact that Maggie can take a bath in the tub, fairly independently, while Oliver takes his bath in the bathroom next to Maggie. He likes his baths, especially getting his face washed. Mom still hasn't figured out how to not get peed on.
First hike
On a warm 65 degree day in Denver, we went out to the arsenal fire a hike. Oliver slept thru most of it, the only time he stirred was the first time he felt wind...

First photo shoot
Nana took some pictures of Oliver to use for his birth announcement. He did great getting posed and being in his diaper.
First movie :)
Yep, we took a 12 day old baby to a movie... Maggie had early release so we went to see Nut Job at the theater. We were the only people in the entire theater. Oliver slept the whole time until the credits came on.
First outing
Nana and mommy took Oliver to breakfast at Snooze and then to Target, where we got to see aunt Emily at work.

Fun times at home
Getting used to being at home, Oliver has made himself comfortable. He's a great eater and he sleeps well...four hours at a time during the night!!
Oliver at the hospital
Oliver had lots of fun in the hospital... lots of clothing changes...mingi, grandpa lew, nana, grandpa Ron, aunt Emily, ack, rah, Juan, Nikki and friend Emily all spent time with him... and lots of snuggles and kisses!
Naming the baby
For two days, the baby had no name. Mom and dad tried calling him Samuel, Quinn, Kieran and Oliver but we couldn't decide... so we had Maggie chose his name and write it on the board to tell us... so Oliver Francis it is.

In the recovery room Maggie finally got to meet her brother after waiting for months!
Baby boy Grant
Baby boy was born at 9:15 on January 31st. He was 8 lbs 9 oz and 21 inches long. He had a round head and pink skin right away, guess that's what a c section will do. He stopped crying as soon as daddy was holding him.
