Climbin' Trees

After watching the kids who live next door climb a tree for the last 2 years, Maggie finally got her chance. You can't see it in the picture, but Brady helped Maggie climb up the tree. She loved it so much and didn't want to get down!

Father's Day

We took dad for a hike and to go fishing on Father's Day. Maggie had her first fishing lesson!

Funny Story

Maggie just came out of her bedroom (which she has been sleeping in most nights ALL night since mid-May) to tell me that she hears "working fire" ... fire works.

Camping at the Sand Dunes

This was our first time camping at the Sand Dunes near Alamosa, CO. We spent the weekend camping with Juan and Nikki. We played on the dunes, went for several hikes and just enjoyed being outside!

Being silly in the tent with Nikki.

Night hike on the dunes... Maggie loved playing on them. We also realized that this was the first time that she had ever been in real sand.

Mag wore sunglasses (at night) to keep the blowing sand out of her eyes.

Eating an apple on the hike. Maggie rode for a good part of the hike on Daddy's back. She took 2 short naps and sang lots of songs for us while we hiked.

... Until we got to the creek. Then Maggie LOVED running and splashing in the water. She walked (well, ran) for almost an hour back to our campsite.

Oh yeah, we live in Colorado :)

Hiking into a water fall... at first Maggie was scared (and crying) but eventually wanted to play in the water (although, this water was much colder)

First Cubs/Cards Argument!

Mothers Day

Maggie and Brady gave me such a great day for Mothers Day. We had brunch with my parents and Ack (Uncle Aaron) and Rah (Aaron's girlfriend, Sarah). Then we went to the nursery to get plants for our garden this summer. We spent the afternoon in the yard gardening and planting my new rose bush and flowers (from Maggie!). I loved it!
Here she is with one of our new flower beds!

Work with Mommy

Maggie came to my school with me for Field Day! She loved meeting my students and they loved her! They were holding her hand and helping her out all day. She got to eat lunch in the cafeteria with her new friends. By the end of the day, she was exhausted. She closed her eyes as soon as she was in the car ... the door (literally) was not even closed yet.
She loved all of the books at school and reading with my students!
