stock show

The year's started and per usual, things are back to being busy. Maggie and I were able to go to the Denver Stock Show a couple weeks ago... we had a great time.

After a detour through the education center on the third floor, we found what we were looking for: The Petting Zoo. It was great! Maggie enjoyed petting a pig, sheep, goats, and a Llama. Maggie was really brave!
We had to get some snacks after hanging out with the animals. I really needed to sit down for a bit.

Last, we toured the stock yards outside and the corrals inside. We spent an hour and a half in these areas. It was pretty sweet. Maggie and I sure had a fun time.

Denver Zoo Lights

We went to the Denver Zoo lights with both sets of Grandparents. Maggie kept telling us "Maggie is cited! (excited)"

The real "mingos" weren't out that night, but we found some light up ones instead.

Maggie had a great time, got to see some animals and lots of lights!

Christmas Part II

Maggie got to celebrate Christmas with Mingi and Gapa Lew. She loved opening her Christmas boxes... especially when she found Hello Kitty lip gloss!

Maggie opened new bath toys from Aunt Casey and Uncle Mitch and loved them so much she didn't open any more presents until the next day :) Plus, she took an hour long bath with her new toys!

Reading with Mingi and Gapa.

Two of Santa's reindeer got into the house!

Christmas Part 1

Maggie tried to convince us this year that she was not scared of seeing Santa. She was telling us what she was going to tell him she wanted for Christmas (an Elmo Backpack) and waved to him. But when it came time to see him... she screamed and wanted nothing to do with him, again.

Dad let Santa know what Maggie wanted, since she couldn't get it out. Later she retold the story of visiting Santa to some friends by saying that she was scared and crying... she didn't even try to hide it :)

Hangin out with Gapa Ron waiting for Christmas day...

Mom and Dad redid an empty room to become a playroom for Maggie. She was so excited to see all of her toys in one place. Obviously, Santa brought an Elmo backpack, which she wore all morning.

Equipped with a new bike horn and Elmo on her back, Maggie took a Christmas day bike ride. It was so warm in Denver we were outside without jackets and had the windows in the house open.

A masterpiece by Maggie... she named it "Moon and airplanes" (she's painting a circular moon in this picture)

No Peeky Roast Beefy... the oven door was taped closed and had a sign on it for anyone who was tempted to peek too soon!

Surprise Trip to Arizona to see GiGi

Maggie's Great Grandma (GiGi) turned 75 this year! So all of the family, flew down to Phoenix to surprise her. Here's Maggie on the airplane... she's such a great flyer- must be in the blood :)

We visited where the Cubs play for Spring Training. Maggie also decided to bite her Aunt Emily and got a Time Out at the stadium (Daddy was standing in the grassy section behind her- she's not alone :)).

A young Cubs fan!

Maggie got to stay in a hotel with Aunt Emily and Ack... and Mom and Dad, of course. She loved waking up and getting to hang out with her "friends" right away! Even brushing her teeth was fun!

Here's the family on GiGi's Birthday!

Putting up the Christmas Tree

Maggie loved putting up the Christmas Tree this year... well, not really the tree but taking the tree out of the box so that she could play in it. This game lasted for several days :)

Playdate with Seth

Maggie's Oldest Friend... Seth :)
They were sharing their fruit snacks and cracking up the whole time.
